LMGMUN 2026 Day 2: Where Diplomacy Met the Beat

Lucknow: The second day of LMGMUN 2026, held on July 4, was marked by spirited debate, thoughtful diplomacy, and an atmosphere buzzing with enthusiasm. Delegates returned to their committees with renewed confidence, ready to tackle complex global issues through dialogue, negotiation, and collaboration.

Across the conference, committee sessions witnessed engaging discussions and dynamic exchanges of ideas. In UNCND and UNSEC, delegates deliberated on strategies to safeguard vulnerable communities from the impact of organized crime and illicit drug networks. Meanwhile, the Treaty of Tordesillas (TOT) committee became a stage for intense territorial negotiations, with delegates navigating competing interests and diplomatic challenges.

The UNGA focused on drafting resolutions aimed at protecting cultural heritage in an increasingly digital world, encouraging delegates to explore innovative approaches to preservation and accessibility. At the same time, the UNHSC immersed participants in rigorous historical debate, where past events were examined through the lens of international diplomacy and policymaking.

As the day’s formal proceedings came to a close, the energy of the conference shifted from committee rooms to celebration. Delegates gathered at FAMA for the much-awaited Delegate Evening, exchanging formal attire for a more relaxed and festive spirit. The evening began with a captivating performance by the college band, setting the tone for a memorable night. A lively DJ session followed, filling the venue with music, laughter, and dancing as delegates from different committees came together to celebrate the friendships and experiences forged during the conference.

Day 2 successfully blended intellectual engagement with camaraderie, making it one of the most memorable moments of LMGMUN 2026 and leaving delegates excited for the grand finale ahead.
